Charla has always been involved with art in some form. As a little girl she spent hours in her room each day illustrating her own stories in pencil, pen and ink. Charla created hundreds of pictures filled with action and magic. She now uses this rich background to apply to the illustration of each name portrait. Charla's studio is located in an old Victorian farmhouse nestled in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. There she is continually inspired by the beauty of the Blue Ridge
					Mountains with their endless changes of color and shadow. Charla has studied with professional artists throughout her career including Bill Shirley, Bonnie Chumley and Tim Maloney. She has special interests in creative drama and art for children and holds a masters degree in education.
